    Description

    Hard-To-Find Antique Turquoise & Canary Yellow Vaseline & Crackle Glass 8 ½” Bride’s Basket Bowl with Crimped Edging – c. 1880’s.  Hand-blown with polished Pontil.
    The Well of this gorgeous Basket is Canary Yellow Vaseline with a Crackle Glass finish which gives off a strong Iridescent under black-lights.  The Edging is a mouth-watering Turquoise which is iridescent in and of itself.
    The coloring of this Basket is absolutely superb with the photos not beginning to do justice to the luminosity.
    The Basket is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  Just a few embedded dots of grit which is commonly found given how it was made.  The Polished Pontil also has some embedded grit.
    The Metal Base is missing, but this is a stunning Bowl just as it is.  Should one desire to find a holder, the glass base measures 2 7/16” in diameter.
