Street legal race car. You don't need to be a billionaire to buy a super car. This looks a lot like a McClaren that just sold for .45 million! Only 1,900 lbs and making 425 hp it will give you all the thrills you could ask for. This one has had the same owner the last 23 years. When he bought it the car had never been plated or used on the street. He made many upgrades to the car and now it has only 1,135 miles. He has won many awards at shows from southern California to Chicago. It was even in Kitcar magazine. He also had it up to 120 mph on a track and said it had more to go!
EXTERIOR: I think the body design was way ahead of it's time. It has the look of the much more modern multi million dollar supercars. It has a long and sleek front end with electric pop up headlights. There are air extractors in the center and on top of each fender. The rounded windshield has a single wiper. The roof panels open gull wing style and are also easily detachable. The doors open Lamborghini style. The entire rear body section opens electronically to expose the motor. It is a handlaid fiberglass body. The paint is smooth and glossy. The wheels are highly polished 15 inch Ultras. There's Mickey Thompson performance tires all around.
INTERIOR: I climbed in this car and felt like I was in a race car. The seats are the contour of the fiberglass with a thin upholstered cushion. They each have quick release 4 point race harnesses. The detachable wheel gives a little more room for getting in and out. It is a leather wrapped Lacara wheel. There is a full set of Stewart Warner gauges. It has a panel of toggle switches that operate things from blowers to interior lights. It also has a stereo. There are 2 vents that a blower can give you some fresh air.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a Corvette 350 motor that was rebuilt and makes about 425 hp. Check out the carb set up! It has 4 Delorto carbs, each carb feeds the two cylinders closest to it. They are tuned, in sync and working great. Cool looking set of custom headers. Dressed up with matched set of aluminum air cleaners, fuel delivery rails, valve covers and transaxle cover. It uses an MSD ignition system. There is a tubular framework that makes a roll bar. The antifreeze flows to the front of the car, theres plenty to keep it cool, also a pollished overflow bottle.
UNDERSIDE: It has a rectangular tube frame. Up front is a VW axle with custom spindles. It has air shocks that are adjustable from inside the car. Not only can that change the ride and handling but if there there is a steep driveway you can raise the front. In back it has an independent suspension from a Corvair. It has springs for a V8. All the steering and suspension components front and back still look new. It has disc brakes in front, drum in back. The e-brake assembly is hooked up. The fiberglass floors are not damaged. Looking up at the motor it looks fresh. Has a chrome alternator, starter looks new. It uses a Corvair 4-speed transaxle which was restored and painted. It has a Centerforce performance clutch. There are 2 electric blowers under the car that blow on the headers to keep things cool when not moving.
Not only will this car perform like a race car but it draws a lot of attention. I just walked in the shop where it was being detailed. The detailer closed the garage door because every person walking by wanted to ask about it.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
