I owned this and never ended up using it until I tested it today. Will come in handy for the right person. This works on newer Windows. The CD probably is useless unless you have a CPU with a tray, but this connects easily and is read.
DOES NOT WORK ON CHROMEBOOK (which is why I don't need it).
