    Description

    Presented by Gin-For's Odditiques
    Victorian Vaseline Opalescent Vase
This vase features a vaseline glass base shading to opalescent with a dark cranberry rim.  The pontil is polished, and the body has a slight paneled look.  Work of this type used to be attributed to British companies, but it may be Bohemian.  Either way, the likely date is late 19th century and utterly lovely (or loverly for fans of "My Fair Lady".)
Height is about 5 3/4" and diameter about 6 1/2".
Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs.  Our guarantee is simple.  If you don't like it when you open the box, send it back, and we'll refund your purchase price plus original shipping.  You pay return shipping.  If we messed up in the description in some significant way, then we pay return shipping as well, and since I really don't want to have to pay the shipping, I try extra hard not to make such mistakes....aside from being the right thing to do.
If you have any questions, just get in touch.  I can answer any question.....as long as you keep in mind that "I don't know" is an answer.   We pack with plenty of bubble wrap and peanuts and offer a choice between Priority Mail and Retail Ground (both USPS).  My joints may not be so flexible anymore, but our service can still bend to suit your needs....with some limits, of course.
This Is Us: What's "Gin-For"?  Strictly medicinal purposes.  It also stands for Ginny and Forrest, and Odditiques is oddities and antiques.  I wanted top billing, but For-Gin didn't seem quite right in the antiques game.  Hope you've enjoyed seeing the item and maybe got a chuckle, too.  No extra charge for chuckles, giggles, or smiles.
(The photo with Berlioz is essentially our logo. Lancelot's "Morning Sucks" mug is for perspective only.  Cats and batteries not included, although a search will find the cats on their own pages as well as finding more Gin-For's Odditiques.)
